Casual, open house type events can host over 200.

Yes.

Depends!  A wedding planner or event coordinator is required for the duration of all wedding ceremonies and receptions, including the rehearsal.  Other event types are subject to management discretion. You may bring in your own wedding planner / event coordinator or hire The Mill Site staff. We will discuss your options with you.

Events on Friday, Saturday and Sunday must be cleared out by 12 midnight.  Typically, last call for bar service and last song will end by 11pm.  This gives your vendors time to pack up and be out by midnight.  Events Monday – Thursday will typically end by 10pm. Talk to management if your event needs differ.

We are excited to see how our clients will decorate our space! The possibilities are endless! Here are our decorating guidelines:

Candles may be used so long as they are contained inside a glass container and the flame must be 2” below the top of the container – no open flames are allowed.

You may bring in your own table decorations, however anything hanging from the walls or ceiling must be installed by an insured professional.

Glitter, confetti, rice, and similar items are not allowed.

All belongings, including centerpieces, decorations, equipment brought in by either you or an outside vendor must be removed by end of rental period, unless other arrangements have been made with The Mill Site Management.

We partner with a list of preferred catering and bar service vendors. You also have the option to bring in your own caterer. An outside catering fee will apply if you choose this option. Your caterer must be licensed and insured with the state of MN, and approved by The Mill Site management. You must have serving/cleaning staff for the duration of your reception.  Some caterers provide this, while others do not. Talk with The Mill Site management about your options.

Yes, all meals & desserts must be provided by a licensed caterer. You are not allowed to serve your own food – with the exception of packaged dry snacks and nuts.

No. Alcohol must be brought in and served by a licensed caterer or bartending service approved by The Mill Site.

Security will be required at all wedding reception events where alcohol is being served. Security is $100/hr with a 4 hour minimum.  The Mill Site management will make the final determination on when security is required for all other event types.

The Mill Site does not have a food/beverage minimum. You will work directly with your caterer and bartender.  See below for surcharge information on catering/bartending vendors.

Tours are available by appointment only. Contact us by clicking on the contact tab through our website and filling in your information.

To reserve a date, a signed copy of the rental agreement and a non-refundable downpayment of 50% of the rental fee is due. The remaining balance will be due no later than 6 months prior to event date. If the event is booked within 6 months of the date, the full non-refundable rental fee is required to book. The damage deposit ($300) and security fee (depending on event) are due within 30 days of scheduled event.

*A 10% surcharge will be assessed on all vendor invoices for food, hosted bar services, N/A beverages, rental items including linens, china, drapes, chair covers, and all other incidentals. This will be paid directly by the chosen vendor as a separate line item, or billed to the client for direct pay.
